TE makes a lot of the components that you will find in just about every electronic device. They make all kinds of sensors, relays, connectors, switches, cabling, you name it. I was approached by the wonderful folks at Contravent to create a machine that played music. It was a challenging project- we collaborated with Pull , who essentially had to compose a soundtrack for instruments that didn’t exist yet. The final piece references key industries that TE has deep involvement with- 3d printing, driver assist technology, medical, industrial robotics, smart cities, drones, and home automation. I will always have a special place in my heart for these clients because they were the first to approve the use of a TESLA COIL (coil provided by Zeusaphone – ask for Steve! tell him I sent you!) There was also a short “Making of” documentary that went along with it.
WZRD Media produced and directed both pieces, and they made it all look fantastic!
